The airport caters the Greater Albury Area as well as the nearby cities of Wodonga and Lavington. The area of the airport was originally built as an aerodome in 1930s, but after three decades the management allows regular passenger flights from Melbourne and Sydney. Since then Albury Airport has become the busiest airport in South Wales and was the host of Albury-Wodonga’s official weather station.
