Barrie Molson Centre
The Barrie Molson Centre is the most well-known multi-purpose arena in the city of Barrie, Ontario, Canada. While it hosts various entertainment activities such as concerts and trade shows all year-round, it is primarily home to the Ontario Hockey League’s Barrie Colts. In November 26, 2019, local auto dealership Paul Sadlon Motors’ 10-year naming rights offer was approved by the city council, now renaming the centre Sadlon Arena.
Visitors who flock to the area to watch hockey games or attend special events hosted by the centre can choose from a selection of affordable yet luxurious budget hotels right within its vicinity. The Super 8 by Wyndham is only a 5-minute drive from the arena and has a fitness center, indoor swimming pool, and high-speed WiFi access. The top-rated Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton, which is just as close, has a business center and offers car and bike rental services. While enjoying a stay in the area, tourists can also visit the Horseshoe Resort, an all-season mountain resort and the principal ski and golf resort in Ontario, conveniently located just 20 minutes from Barrie. Half an hour away in the neighboring city of Orillia is the Casino Rama, Canada’s largest and only first Nations commercial casino, with restaurants, spa services, and an entertainment complex that regularly hosts ticketed shows. Tourists may engage in a more cultural experience at the Orillia Opera House, a professional performing arts theatre that produces concerts and performances presented by the local community and local dance studios.
