Originally aimed to focus on managing rental properties in Indonesia, founders Amit Saberwal and Asheesh Saxena felt that focusing on a single region seems to be very deliberate. Indonesia maybe the fourth largest country in Asia with the largest economy, but expanding further to other companies gives the company further growth and a feasible lasting business. After a year and a half focus on Indonesia, RedDoorz grew and now offers a network of hotel under the budget-friendly category. RedDoorz adheres a set of standards for hotels partners working with the brand. The brand continuously develops dynamic pricing, marketing techniques and services to keep this budget hotel booking platform working at its best.
RedDoorz is a dream materialized by India’s OYO Rooms through Softbank’s Vision Fund, together with a half dozen more ventures that aims to bring the model hospitality business back in Southeast Asia. At present, RedDoorz remains to be one of the most successful and best funded ventures from that funding. In 2018, RedDoorz raised $11 million in funding to further develop and expand the RedDoorz brand in Southeast Asia.
