Middletown, California is part of Lake County. It has a population of about 1,000 people. The small town lies in between the Lower Lake and Calistoga. This is the reason why it named as Middletown. Unfortunately, 2015 Valley Fire damaged the town. Today, the town is rising up from the damaged that it was incurred by the natural calamity. During the town’s early years, it was known to be the Middle Station. The town was incorporated in 1871. After two years, the town became Middletown. Based on history, it gained prosperity before the turn of the century. This is due to the rich mercury resource of the town.

The best thing about Middletown is that it is open all year round. The sun is every shining during summer town. It is experiencing a classic California weather. It is safe to go between the months of May to October.

The town is attractive to some people especially commuters and retirees, mainly because of its proximity to Napa and San Francisco. The town is enjoying a small share of tourists. In fact, there are no hotels in the city centre. For those who love to go wine tasting, the closest one is between Beaver Creek Vineyards and Langtry Estate and Vineyards. The nearby hotel includes Springhill Suites Napa Valley. It is a 3-star hotel near the Napa Valley Wine Train. Another hotel is the Meritage Resort and Spa which a 4-star hotel and close to the Napa region.
