Del Norte International Airport – NTR Nuevo Leon

Del Norte International Airport with code NTR is located in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. This is one of the airports found in Mexico’s largest cities. The airport was created in the 1940s by American Airlines. They wanted to provide service but there is no airfield in the area. After a number of incidents happening in the airport, the government was forced to build another airport called General Mariano Escobedo International Airport. The facilities include two runways, terminal buildings, jet bridges and boarding gates. Today, the airport is used for pilot training as well as chartered flights. In 2007, the runway was upgraded with ILS/DME. Visit the nearby cities of Icamole and Santa Catarina, which are also served by the airport.
