Previously called the Des Moines Center of Science and Industry, Science Center of Iowa is a science museum that was established around 1970. After the museum was renamed in 1985, it was relocated to its current address in Des Moines, Iowa. The Science Center of Iowa encourages cultural awareness and provides Iowans with unique experiences through is innovative activities. The main goal of the museum is to develop skills in lifelong science learning and encourage cultural exchange.
