St. George Airport is known as a general aviation airport in the US state of Alaska. It is a state owned, public use airport that is located in St. George, Alaska and serves the city. Its airport code, STG, stands for the city itself St. George. Records shown by Federal Aviation Administration that the airport served 604 enplanements in 2008, 610 in 2009, and 643 in 2010 which was the basis for classifying the airport as a general aviation because at least 2,500 enplanements a year is needed for an airport to be classified as commercial aviation. As of the present, the airport continues serving the city and other neighboring areas.
