Bader Field – AIY Atlantic
Bader Field or with AIY airport code is also known as Atlantic City Municipal Airport. The city-owned general aviation airport is situated in Atlantic City, NJ. It is only one mile from US Route 40 and US Route 322. The airfield was permanently closed in 2006. Bader Field was named after Edward Bader who purchased the land and convert it into an airfield.

Bader Field covers around 143 acres and 8 feet above sea level. It has two runaways made from asphalt. In 2001, the airport has served more than 10,000 aircraft. It is considered as a prime development real estate. Currently, it is now a place that hosts several events like concerts, autocross and music festivals. The airport is nearby cities of Ocean City and Somers Point.

Although the airport is closed for commercial flights, there are a lot of nearby hotels in the area. Tropicana Atlantic City is less than a mile from the airport and set on the beachfront. It was inspired by a casino located near the city center. It has so many amenities that will keep travelers entertained. The Chelsea Pub & Inn is around 1.5km away from the airport. It is only .4km from the Atlantic Beach Bay. You can also book a night or more at the Quality Inn Flamingo, which is also just 1.6km from the airport.
