The Blue Ridge Music Center is a well-known music place, museum and tourist center on the Blue Ridge Parkway close to Galax, Virginia. This world-class performing arts facility was constructed to promote and preserve the rich historic music of Blue Ridge and Virginia as a whole. Blue Ridge Music Center celebrates the music of the Blue Ridge Mountains by means of exhibits, programs and concerts which highlights the musical heritage of the region and interpret its importance within the bigger landscape of American culture and music. The music center is operating between May to October through the joint partnership of Ridge Parkway Foundation and the National Park Service. Blue Ridge Music Center is also at the crossroads of two great music heritage of Virginia: the Blue Ridge Music Trails of North Carolina and The Crooked Road.
