Much commonly referred to as Belep Islands Airport, Île Art – Waala Airport is a public-use airport found on the central part of Art Island (Île d'Art, New Caledonia), the biggest among the island group of Belep. Although Île Art – Waala Airport is the only airport serving Art Island, there is currently only one airline serving the airfield. Air Caledonie, a domestic airline for New Caledonia, connects Belep Islands Airport to Koumac Airport on the town of Koumac on the main island of New Caledonia and Nouméa Magenta Airport on the village of Nouméa on the main island, as well. The archipelago of Belep has remained untouched for centuries now, making it thrive in its mysteriousness and natural beauty.
