The Bert Mooney Airport is a public airport located in Butte, Montana and owned by Bert Mooney Airport Authority. Its airport code, BTM, stands for the airport’s name Bert Mooney. The airport was categorized by National Plan of Integrated Airport System for 2011-2015 as a primary commercial service facility. In 1926, the airport was named Butte Municipal Airport, then it was change in 1960 to Silver Bow County Airport, and finally in 1972 it got its present name. As of the year 2008, the airport has handled 30,431 passengers according to Federal Aviation Administration.
