Caticlan: A Coastal City Peace and Hospitality
Caticlan, Philippines is one of the 17 barangays of the town of Malay. It is composed of almost 8,000 residents as of 2015, making up roughly 15% of the municipality’s population. Caticlan celebrates an array of festivals all year round with the town of Malay, one of which is the Boracay International Funboard Cup. This event, held in January, attracts plenty of windsurfers from across the region. The weather is particularly cold by this time of year, with rain showers as frequent as 12 days in a month. What to Do & Area Attractions
When staying in Caticlan, feel free to catch a boat to the Crystal Cove Island, located within about 20 minutes from the Boracay mainland. This is one of the best snorkeling sites in the area, where guests can also enjoy some privacy. Afterward, you can watch the colorful sunset at the Caticlan Jetty Port or Tabon Jetty Port.
