Cebu International Convention Center
The Cebu International Convention Center is a popular and large convention center located at the heart of Cebu City, Philippines. This was built in the initiative to hold the 12th ASEAN Summit and 2nd East Asia Summit with the support of the Cebu Provincial Government. The center has almost 4 hectares of the land area situated at the Reclamation Area in Mandaue City. However, misfortunes also happened when the October 2013 Bohol Earthquake mercilessly shook the whole center and the Cebu International Convention Center fell into severe damage. Luckily enough, the Provincial Government of Cebu took the initiative to rebuild the convention until it was opened in October 2016. The convention center features a large Plenary Hall, an Exhibition Hall, and an International Media Center that could accommodate thousands of people.
Conveniently set in the center of Cebu and only a 5-minute drive from Ayala Center, Cebu Parklane International Hotel offers cozy rooms with a safety deposit box, a work desk, a private bathroom with a hairdryer, and a small living room with a sofa seating. The hotel also has an onsite restaurant called Manuel's Restaurant that features Cebu's best Lechon. Mandarin Plaza Hotel features an outdoor pool and a restaurant called Lahug. The hotel also provides an overview of the city. Philippines Taoist Temple is a temple built and opened in 1972 and is used to perform rituals to worship the popular Chinese philosopher named Lao Zi. Another historical site is the Fort San Pedro, a military defense structure built under the command of the Spanish regime. This fort was used as a stronghold in the Philippine Revolution to end colonialism.
