Cianjur: The Attractive Countryside of Indonesia
Cianjur, Indonesia, nestled in between two major cities: Jakarta and Bandung, is a charming town in the province of West Java. It was founded in the late 1670s. The town mainly relies on agriculture but because of its convenient location, tourism is also starting to grow in town. Forget the city life for a little while and entertain yourself with the lush green landscapes this countryside has to offer.
Best Time to Visit
Like the rest of the country, a hot climate dominantly exists at Cianjur yet moderate to heavy rain showers are also expected. Avoid getting wet while exploring the town when you visit between the months of June and August. These are the only months when there is little to no chance of rain but are also the hottest and most crowded months. Cianjur ID hotels have higher prices too but at least you may participate in the Cianjur Festival held any time during these months.
What to Do & Area Attractions
Huge parks and gardens such as Taman Alun-Alun Cianjur and Taman Joglo are great places to spend a relaxing afternoon with your family or friends. Tracks are also available on both properties where you can either run, walk, and jog. Street food vendors are also all over the areas. Visit the Museum Bumi Ageung to experience firsthand the Javanese culture. Of course, it is also a must to visit a temple while in town so head on to Bhumi Parsija Temple. The closest hotel to Cianjur is the 4-star Palace Hotel located right next to the Presidential Palace in Cipanas. Its amenities and services are truly world-class and commendable. There is also a huge outdoor swimming pool on-site. On the other hand, the Novus Giri Resort & Spa offers breathtaking views of the Puncack Hills.
