Delta County Airport – ESC Escanaba
The Delta County Airport is a public-use airport owned by the county of Delta in Michigan. It is situated 2.5 miles southwest of Escanaba’s central district and is serving the city. Only limited air transport service is offered by the airport, funded by the Essential Air Service program. Delta Connection is operating flights at the airport with a route to Detroit. A total of 36,860 passengers were served by Delta County Airport for 12 months ending in July 2019.

The ESC-Delta County Airport sits in a 382-hectare of land which is elevated 609 feet above mean sea level. Its two asphalt-paved runways labeled 9/27 and 1/19, measures 6,498 and 5,016 feet in length. A turbojet fighter-bomber aircraft, Republic F-84F can be seen on display at the entrance of the airport. One of the cities near the ESC is Marquette. The city is the largest one of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and is a major port on Lake Superior, famous for shipping iron ore.
