The Skiathos Island National Airport is one of the 46 airports in Greece. The airport is located in the Skiathos island and serves Skiathos, Greece and another island Lazareta. The new runway and new taxiway were extended and introduced during that year. In December 2015, the airport was included in the agreement signed by the state privatization fund and the FRAPORT AG/Copelouzous Group joint venture to privatize the airport. Fraport Greece’s investment plan by 2021 includes many relevant enhancement of the airport. You can easily drive to the tourists' sites of Ano Lechonia, Ano Volos, and Artemida from the airport.
