Karlovy Vary Airport-KLV airport
Karlovy Vary Airport-KLV airport is an international airport serving the Karlovy Vary, Bohemia in Czech Republic which is owned by the local Karlovy Vary Region and operated by Airport Karlovy Vary. KLV airport only has one operating airline to Moscow-Vnukovo, Russia- the Pobeda airline. KLV airport is located in Olšová Vrata, south east of the center of the city. It is also near the city of Oberwiesenthal. Despite the limited number of flights in the airport, KLV airport was still the fourth busiest airport in Czech Republic.
Best Time to Visit
The currently KLV airport is an upgraded version of the previous airport. The new KLV airport which was completed as the 2011 plan, has a new departure hall. The new development project was priced at 30 million crowns. More so, the KLV airport has two runways with 2,150 meters length and has a mixed asphalt and concrete surface. Another runway spans for 1,000 meters with grass surface. Despite the limited commercial flights to KLV airport, there are several general aviation and air taxis landing in the airport. Majority of the arrivals are Russians, or coming from Russia.
