Loboc: A Quiet Town of Religion and Culture
The town of Loboc, Philippines is one of the fourth class municipalities located in Bohol. It sits 16 miles from the town of Tagbilaran and is popular for the lunch cruises done along the Loboc River. Loboc, PH is also home to several tarsiers and the famous centuries-old Catholic church. Best Time to Visit
Loboc transforms into a party scene in the latter part of June when the feast day of St. Peter the Apostle is held in the town. The summer season may be pretty slow for tourism in Loboc, so expect cheaper Loboc, Philippine hotels. The tourist population begins rising in the fall until the winter season.
What to Do & Area Attractions
While exploring the streets of Loboc, make sure to visit the Loboc Church or much formally known as Saint Peter, the Apostle Parish Church. While the parish itself was founded in 1602, the church made of coral stone was finished in 1734 and still stands today. A short ride away from the church is the Busay Falls, where you can enjoy the cold waters in the summer.
