Mele: Mystical Polynesia Island
Mele Island is an islet in Vanuatu. Its location has earned its nickname of “Hideaway Island.” The island is only accessible via a boat ride from the capital city, Port Vila. Local villagers of the island are in property of it but they are currently leasing it to the owners of the Hideaway Island Resort found on the island. Mele is a growing summer holiday destination in the Oceania coast.
Best Time to Visit
With a tropical climate, you will enjoy a trip to Mele, Vanuatu when you come around winter season during the middle of the year. Little to moderate rainfall is experienced during this season. But if you want to avoid the high volume of travelers, it is best to come in summer during the last months of the year. There are more affordable rates for Mele hotels too. Just make sure to hydrate yourself well as it can get very hot and humid on the island.
