Mopah International Airport – MKQ Merauke
Mopah International Airport is the second easternmost airport in Indonesia next to Sentani International Airport located in Jayapura. The airport is situated Merauke, Papua in Indonesia. Merauke is a great place for tourist to visit especially that the Wasur National Park. Mopah International Airport is the primary airport that the tourists can take for them to enter the promising land. The Government of Indonesia owns the airport while the Ministry of Transportation operates it.

Mopah International Airport started out with an area of 1972m2 and a capacity of 331 passengers at peak seasons. Because it can no longer serve the bulk of tourists coming and going, the terminal underwent an extensive renovation in 2015. The airport grew four times its size and can already accommodate 200,000 passengers yearly. The baggage claim areas and check-in counters are designed in a minimalist way and the parking lot was expanded. It has a boarding lounge with a 381 seating capacity and an enhanced toilet. Canopies are also available in pick-up and drop-off points to avoid problems during extreme heat or rain. The new terminal is the largest airport terminal in Papua and West Papua Provinces with an area of 21,000m2. The airport serves destinations to and from Makassar, Jayapura, Tanah Merah, Bomakia, Ewer and a few more others.
