Moscone Convention Center or also known as George R Moscone Convention Center is the largest convention and exhibition area located in San Francisco, California. It covers around the 11-acre block that is bounded by the towns of Mission, Folsom, and Fourth Street. There are over 20,000 hotel rooms in the convention center. The local government owns the Moscone Convention Center. Three main halls are spread across three blocks in the neighborhood of South Market. The name Moscone Convention Center is after George Moscone. He was the former mayor of San Francisco and was assassinated in 1978. In the south part is where Keith Haring Sculpture stands. In the west of the convention center is where the three-level exhibit hall can be found.
