Tjilik Riwut Airport- PKY
Formerly referred to as Panarung Airport, Tjilik Riwut Airport is a public airfield located on Palangkaraya, Indonesia, the capital city of the province of Central Kalimantan. Its name was derived from Tjilik Riwut, the second governor of the province and the country’s National Hero. The government-owned airport is now operated by Angkasa Pura II and primarily serves the city of Palangkaraya. It goes by the IATA location identifier of PKY, ICAO location identifier of WAGG, and WMO location identifier of 96655.

Residing at an elevation of 25 meters above the mean sea level, PKY-Tjilik Riwut Airport features a single asphalt-paved runway with a length of 2,600 meters. The new two-story passenger terminal in the airport officially opened in the latter part of March 2019. It covers a total capacity of 15,000 square meters and can handle a thousand passengers daily. You can also find several restaurants and shops in the terminal. It was extended again to over 29,000 square meters to accommodate 2,200 passengers daily. Tjilik Riwut Airport is served by eight airlines at the moment and connects it to various airports within Indonesia.
