John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport stands in the neighborhood of Mount Hope. The airport serves Hamilton City and its neighboring areas including the Greater Toronto Area. It first opened in 1940 under the name of Mount Hope Airport, in which it mainly served as the Royal Canadian Air Force Base. YHM Hamiltoncurrently serves as a hub to five airlines.
