The Fleischmann Planetarium and Science Center was built at the University of Nevada, Reno Campus, in 1963. Its objective is stated on its tag line, "educating the public about space.” The Planetarium and Science Center is equipped with high technology. They are the first in the United States to showcase a 360-degree projector that provides horizon-to-horizon images. The same projector can also show the entire day’s weather in a few minutes through time-lapse.
