Ellis Island Immigration Museum, New York, United States of America

The Ellis Island Immigration Museum is a former immigration inspection station located in New York. As of today, it is now called the Ellis Island owned by the New York Harbor. There were unfortunate events that happened in Ellis Island, where 12 million immigrants weren't accepted because the immigration station got closed. Fifteen commissioners have been assigned to oversee and lead the immigration since the 1890's, where the 12 commissioners were political appointees by the US president and the other 3 commissioners hold a non-partisan position of "district director". The current use of this island is now owned and operated by the National Park Service to use for medical emergencies and evacuations.
